How Do You Switch Cell Phones With Verizon?
I was wondering if I can purchase a cell phone from ebay and switch from my phone to the new phone and keep my number without going to verizon to buy a completley new cell phone for a higher price than to just buy a used one from ebay. What is the best way to switch phones?
YES! you can, buy one off ebay but MAKE SURE IT HAS A CLEAR ESN AND UNLOCKED!!!!!! IAnother idea could be Craigslist! The phone has to be from the verizon network remember! Then go to a verizon store and say you want to activate the phone and it will not cost a dime! HOWEVER, if you dont have a smartphone but buy a blackberry or android phone you will have data charges.

First, you better be absolutely certain the phone you buy will work on Verizon’s network. You cannot take phones use on Sprint or some other CDMA networks and just expect them to work.
Once you have your phone, get the ESN number off the phone, call them and ask them to activate the device.

If the phone says unlocked, it won’t work with Verizon. Make sure the phone is made for Verizon, then just call up Verizon with the ESN and they’ll switch the phone for you.
