Why Do People Spend So Much Money On Cell Phones?
It's totally stupid. Like, my cousin/best friend gets a new expensive phone probably every 6 months, and then complains when she doesn't have money for anything else. My little brother wants a new phone for his birthday and I told him NO..cause his phone works perfectly fine and there is absolutely no reason to get another one.
Why are people constantly getting new cell phones?
cell phones for some people are an accessorie like clothes the newest and most in phone is like having the newest item of clothing for bussiness people it is all about having the lastest phone with the most up to date features that allows them to conduct bussiness on the run for some people it is just i have the lastest phone thing but cell phones can be addictive and trust me it is a real addiction some people need them and new ones all the time like dope addicts need dope and always trying to find what is giving them a even better high i know that is not a nice comparison but it is just an idea and reality as to how some people are with cell phones.
Sounds just like my brother who is ALWAYS bragging about his expensive cell phone. I don’t get it. These people are just too materialistic and don’t know what’s really important in life. I mean, yes, it’s nice to have a nice cell phone but as long as I’m able to make, receive calls, and text I’m good.

honestly I think its a status thing. Like look at me have the newest phone. Personaly my husband and I don’t have phones. Instead we have a mortage and a truck payment.

Personally, I have to have a good cell phone for work. I am not behind a desk all day with access to a land line. So, it’s importnat that I have one with many hours of talk time and is durable – cause I take it everywhere. Having access to the internet and my email on my phone was the best thing for my business.
I need my BLACKBERRY to survive!!! LOL

I don’t understand it either. I have a coworker who seems to change phones daily.
I have never owned one, refused a company phone and will be happy to end my life cellphone free.

Most people do it to flaunt it off. Some people get new phones as they need the features they have on those new phones, which are more business like people. I needed a QWERTY keyboard as I do a lot of emailing so I purchased the LG Voyager as it has a wide screen so I can read as I write and then check over it easily.
But yes most people waste their money every couple a months to get the newest phone so they can basically help their self esteem I guess
