Broken camera - Warranty expired - Can Best Buy still repair?
I recently dropped my digital camera and now it won't turn on. The buttons light up, it makes a humming noise as if trying to turn on, and then just shuts off. The lens won't open by itself either. I bought this camera at Best Buy about 2 years ago, so my warranty has already ran out. However, if I bring it there and explain the situation, would they still be able to repair it? I know I would most likely be charged for this repair, but I am willing to pay that. My question is though, does Best Buy do repairs for products that are no longer under warranty? Any idea of an estimated cost? Thanks so much...
I'm not sure if Best Buy will repair it but if you take it to a camera store they most certainly will be able to. No matter where you take it it's going to cost you. Unfortunately it usually costs quite a bit to fix digital cameras. Take it in for an estimate but don't be surprised if it costs you almost as much as buying a new one.
